Richard (Rick) D. Bendall, owner and founder of Manistee Covers, has 24 years of canvas design and fabrication experience producing high quality custom fit all-weather coverings. In the past, Rick has worked for such notable companies as Thompson Boats, Apache Awning, and Mesa Marine. In 1995, Rick decided to go independent and create his own cover company, R-Dee's Covers of Owosso, MI. With 11 successful years vested in the Owosso / Mid-Michigan area and creating a great customer base, he decided to relocate his craft and business to Manistee. Rick is very excited to have the opportunity to bring a small specialty business into a diverse recreational community, such as Manistee.

Eric J. Papenfuss, Sue’s son, has been a part of the business for the past 2 years. Previously, Eric lived in San Francisco, CA, where he worked for a subsidiary of DuPont. Eric’s responsibilities within Manistee Covers includes: Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, and Project Estimates.
